August Scripture Memory

I'm behind on Scripture memory. I made this Scripture acrostic tonight. I've been really having a struggle resisting eating sweets. I know how much Scripture helps me to have victory. Most of these are Scriptures I've memorized before. Quoting a lot of Scripture in the face of persistent temptations is so powerful. It really helps me to get on a higher spiritual plane. I definitely want to put this into practice more often. I like the title of this acrostic because it reminds me that I need to make God first place in my life and live a life that glorifies Him.

GOD FIRST

God
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (KJV)

O
Psalms 34:8-9 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. (KJV)

Delight
Psalms 119:24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors. (KJV)

Faith
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (KJV)

In the Spirit
Galatians 5:22-25 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.(KJV)

Right
Proverbs 8:6-9 Hear; for I (wisdom) will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.(KJV)

Selfish
Proverbs 18:1 He that separateth himself seeketh his pleasure, he is vehement against all sound wisdom. (Darby)

The battle
Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.(KJV)
